Problems with water pressure in Catalkoy

According to my 'other half' there has been problems all day with the pressure of water coming out of various taps/shower heads.
Just got back in and we have only a 'trickle' from the upstairs bathrooms.
Any one else experiencing the same as do not want to get a plumber out tomorrow to waste his time if it is a general problem.
We are just above the village of Catalkoy.
Thank you.

BBB, our pressure has dropped consideribly since yesterday, we are the other side of Girne. I think others may report this as well. We do have a 4 ton back up but goodness knows whats lurking in that!! Kind regards, Mrs Snakes (never done a smilley but fancied a bambi!)

No water at alll since last night in Ozankoy and I think ours comes from Catalkoy. I dont have enough back up to risk big washes, and what with no dry weather and no electicity, I will soon run out of clean undies, not to mention sheets and towels.!

,Thanks Deniz: I may take you up on that if it isnt fixed next week. Swopies for charging by generator!
Meanwhile I have hand washing soaking in the kitchen while trying to decide whether to mop up the bathroom or just give in and turn it into a swimming pool ! Talk about water , water all around and not a drop to drink (though actually I do have a reasonable supply of drinking water on hand)- Maşallah

Andrew, that should only have affected those living in Lefkoşa, Gazimağusa, Hamitköy and Alayköy.

Clearly there are problems related to the flooding

You people must have a very different water system than most. In every house I have known the pressure is supplied by the pump from the water tank and the mains pressure only affects how quickly the tank refills. All the neighbourhood (Karsiyaka) houses work that way and that is 4 different builders, plus the flat in Girne and the 4 houses I rented before buying. I have also helped with many friends' water systems and never found one directly connected to the mains.

Most of my taps feed from tank(s) but two direct from the mains. It is an old village house that probably originally didnt have tanks, so perhaps it is newer estates and blocks of flats that only feed via tanks. Pressure is irrelevant to me anyway, since I have no water at all coming through the mains.
There have been several problems with the pump at Catalkoy but usually fixed in a day or two. However, with the possibility of storm damage in addition to maintenance and the intervention of a weekend I am conserving water until I know for sure what is happening...

Sorry, Victoria, mine is still on, but I dont know where you live and we may well be on different pipelines (if that is the right expression). I am in Ozankoy. #Sometimes if there is a problem and the supply is limited they will connect different areas in a sort of rota
If no one else comes up with more information, and you do not have water tomorrow, I suggest you phone your Muhtar.

Our water seems to come on about 7 every morning in Catalkoy village, that's when I hear the tank filling up and usually about 8 my neighbour washes out his dog cage and his tap is straight off the mains.
