You could try Acdinc, computer shop next door to Funky Diva in Karakum. Tel 0533 8772757
There's also been recommendations for the chap across the road from Erdener, same block as Tim's cafe and Master Roaster, can't remember the name of the shop, but they sell mobile phones.

Agree best shop to help is Acdinc. Great service and reasonable prices.

Update re battery. Acdinc unable to help. Suggests I wont get a replacement battery here. Advised to get one from a Samsung dealer in the UK quoting exact model. However he said if I get the battery he will fit it.

Silverfir, I was only giving an example that the battery is available on Amazon. No idea whether that's the best price, so something you might want to check on.

It's the 2nd best price on Amazon (by a few pence) and has a decent reputation & returns policy so I've ordered it.

Thank you both again. The cost of replacement/repair wasn't my main concern, just need my tablet working to it's normal standard. At the moment it is so frustrating trying to eke out the short battery duration.
