Hundreds/thousands of lira in fines/years in prison depending on type of tree (olive, carob, etc.)....?
Perhaps first question should be "Can I cut down my trees....."

I think pines are protected. You can trim but not fell them. Anyone operating a chain saw needs a licence.

Pine is protected. You need to contact the Orman Dairesi for permission.

“Tree fellers wanted.”

Paddy: “Shame - there’s only two of us!”

(It’s the way I tell ‘em!).

Ok. I’ll get my coat

You should take pics of the trees on your phone to take to the Dairiasi. They will then either give you permission to trim or remove them.

You might have to take one or two pictures of the immediate surroundings as well i.e distance from wall or buildings or neighbours. It has been known for them to ask, but it was two or three years ago though.
