If you remove your home router I.e. plug the MM connection direct into an Ethernet port in your mag box, will this improve the number of mgbt so HD is stable? In other words will my MM input be improved by eliminating the router temporarily?

I think that the quick answer to that is "Try it" - it won't do any harm, and then you'll have the answer!

Re: MultiMax internet tech. Question
Keith is absolutely correct.
If there is anything wrong with your router, or if your computer or smart phones are simultaneously trying to download updates and other stuff, you will remove all those possible 'issues' from the loop.
In best case scenario, you will see an improvement, in worst case scenario, it will not be any worse.
