I've seen the perfect table and chairs for me on FB market place but it is for sale in Paralimni. Any thoughts if there is any chance at all on getting them to Famagusta to our Turkish Cypriot Tapu house??? The price given is 225 Euros

Getting things over isn’t the issue, but you may have to pay tax on it here to do so

I bought two metal garden benches for 50 euro each . I had to pay 30 euro . They where in a sale from superhome base .

Just for info really . I thought there was a 200 euro limit or something but thats not the case . Im still confused about the rules as iv been stopped and checked with stuff like tv cabnets etc and thats been ok . I rarely get stopped at the famagusta crossing . The time i got stopped was at the pyla crossing . Id left the benches in sight as. Genuinely thought below 200 euro there was no tax ?!

If the goods are second hand i really dont believe you need to pay tax ?

The limit is for ‘personal’ goods only which means clothes, bags, trinkets etc
Furniture is definitely excluded & is taxable but like everything here it depends who you see on the day & how they are feeling
IMHO I would have thought you would be ok with second hand goods

I've now got my lovely table and chairs. After talking to the seller, they agreed to deliver it to the house in Famagusta, the guy says he has no trouble bringing s/h stuff to the North. All he wanted was payment for the insurance, which was fine with me. They sell on FB.
