We are based in Barcheli and are on mains water, but have had NO water since last night, anyone else in the Esentepe area without water?

We still have No Mains Water after 5 days

We are just West of Esentepe and the water has been on and off, high and low pressure over the last few days but not off for any great length of time. Have you checked your meter? Ours had locked itself even though we were using water. Fortunately just inserting the card and pressing the button was all it took to unlock it. Sometimes we've had to try and get someone from the Belidiye to come and that can take ages.

We are in Esentepe and have not had water now for five days. Don’t understand if we are supposed to be on Turkish water now why are they turning it off. When we try to call the Bele they don’t even answer the phone. Our meter is not Kapali as everyone on the site has said the same. Anyone else having problems?

Heard that Turtle Bay had had a leak, but came back on yesterday, we're in Olive Grove

Ny advice is to go to see the Belediye and insist that they send you a water tanker, I understand that they are obliged to do so...

Water on, high pressure today just West of Esentepe. There was a leak between Esentepe and Forest Golf villas (Medview), think it was being attended to yesterday afternoon.

No problems in Esentepe village, reduction of pressure for a few hours yesterday, but back to normal now.

Just goes to show just how we rely on this natural commodity. It doesn't matter what you have in the bank, when the water has been off for a week or whatever, the joy and sense of relief when it comes back on is immense. It certainly makes me realise how much I took it for granted when I lived back in the UK.

Not had any water in parts of Karaman since Thursday evening.

I completely agree Sophie. We finally got water Sunday morning after having none for over a week. We are always careful with water as we know it’s a precious commodity but this is one of the major problems we have with living here.

Having contacted someone in Girne Belediye on the phone, one concerned resident has been told that people have been to try and sort out the "big problem" regarding water supply to parts of Karmi/Karaman on Saturday and Sunday but it remains a "big problem". Apparently there will be someone coming again today. Watch this space as we are up to day 4 now.
