Having used several over the years there is no difference they are all average none excellent.

A1 very cheap and very reliable plus they offer cheapest transfers to Larnaca £25 per journey

I use Aone twice a year, very reliable for transfers. I have a manual car & they are not the best but considering the standard of driving I'm quite happy. One return transfer the driver was a nightmare, I emailed on my return to hear he no longer drives for them.

I have found that even the best of 'Taxi' companies occasionally have to sub-contract transfers during busy periods...

I had one such experience where the diver was simultaneously smoking and texting on his 'phone, while driving and overtaking like a lunatic!

A bit of concerted shouting at him soon sorted out the texting lark, and a complaint to my 'transfers' contact resulted in confirmation that they wouldn't use him again

Are you sure than was not me picking you up or dropping you off as a favour ?

(actually I would not text whilst driving. the rest ..... )

Being a lone traveller it was an horrendous journey. He had someone else in the front with him, after picking me up he then went for fuel, not impressed. His hand's were not usually on the wheel, he was not watching on the road, three times he went to overtake on the hill towards Nicosia & the car cut out. I never thought I was going to make it.
Aone said they had had complaints before so that was it.

Exactly the same in all aspects for me, every year since 2014!

I would also recommend a one, cars are ok.
Once I was given a car I was not happy with and they were happy to change it.

I have used Baspinar in the past. Better cars on average but their respect of customers leaves a lot to be desired.
I was once given a car that had a used condom left in the back! The last straw was being charged for a flat tyre (not my fault). When I contacted them about the tyre the next day from picking it up a LARGE Russian guy who worked for them took me to the tyre fitters and made me pay for it. Never used them again, shame because their airport transfers were great.

Any issues I have had with a one have been dealt with respectfully.

I did have a little incident with a wall when reversing in an area I didn't know, went straight to the office. Chap in office asked for agreement which was in the car, he took one look & said no problem "you are a good customer"..... that meant a lot to me

I have always hired from Pacific get a good car at a good price, take it in once a week for a complete valet, and they pick us up at the airport 10% reduction.

We always use Bird, older cars but cheap

Is it still the case that a hire car can't be over 5 years old, or did that piece of legislation never come to pass.
