if the slug pellets are blue it maybe arsenic and there is no return if digested by innocent parties. One of the reasons I always say to anyone who helps me in the gardens wear gloves you never know what you are touching especially as most smoke. A kind owner put the arsenic pellets around her garden, she didn't believe me until she read the ingredients and then said how stupid to be able to buy in a normal shop with no warning what it contained

The Slug Pellets i use (albeit in UK), are blue but they are made by a company called Growing Success and are non-toxic, so do not kill Hodgypigs when they eat slugs and snails that have ingested them. They also don't leave dirty snail trails and shrivelled up slugs on the surface as they go underground to die. Can you get Growing Success Slug Pellets in TRNC? If not maybe i can see if i can bring some over next time.

I find salt is great for slugs, and doesn't cause harm to animals. Doubt it would work with cockroaches unfortunately.

Cockroaches and slugs co-exist well - the cockroaches eat the slug poo. Isn't nature wonderful?

Earwigs are good for burrowing in and taking away nasty thoughts.
