Does anyone know if the insurance office at the border will be open as normal from tomorrow?

If you are thinking of going South, then as the Greek Cypriots do not celebrate Muslim holidays, I can't see why not!

BTW, I noticed that you had a query about Bristol Airport recently - I flew from Bristol to Larnaca with Thomas Cook, but you would need to check the schedule to see whether they are operating the route over Christmas...

Yes, that was a while ago I enquired about Bristol airport. Unfortunately, Thomas cook don't fly into Bristol Xmas time..

...and I've just been alerted to the following anyway : -

"... update on Thomas Cook. They were hoping to be supported financially by the Chinese. Looks like that is not going to happen, according to news this morning. The words used: “looks like it’s going to the wall”

I would not book any flights or holidays with them until they can guarantee they have sufficient funding to continue.

Easyjet fly Larnaca to Bristol on Wednesdays and Sundays, still showing flights in December for less than £60 one way and afternoon departure. Return flights depart at 0700/0800 though...

Thursday is a Bank holiday for the South side

Thanks for that COA, the OP - bluedream - could only find easyjet Bristol flights from Paphos.
