House Painting

Approximately how much does it cost to have the exterior of a two-storey villa redecorated?
Is it hundreds, a grand, or more (£ sterling)?
We appreciate there are variables to consider such as size etc., and we can get people around to give quotes, but we just need a guide because if it’s way outside our current budget we don’t want to waste anyone’s time.

It depends obvious on size. Need for preparation. Colours. The two main ones are quality of the paint and what the painter can get out of you.
Quotes can vary £2k to £5k
Find somewhere that you can view and recommend.

A few months ago we paid 7ooo tl for two men who our neighbours had recently used. They painted the garden walls the house and two metal pairs of gates and the metal railings above the front wall. they bought the paint and it came to 5200 tl probably we coukd have bought the paint and probably git a discount but i wasnt bothered . We used quite a lot of paint more than normal. They said they normally do a house in about 7 buckets but ours took 12 . I watvhecthem doing it and it took about 8 days . They charged our neighbours the same price for the labour . Its a three bed detached villa on a 600 meter plot i think the walls took a lot of paint.

P.s. this is iskele and these guys dont do girne! My wife whose turkish did all the talking....

I had my 4 bedroom villa painted by Mahmut last April who Navek recommended . I am very impressed with his work and he said it had a guarantee of 2 years. He did not use Marshall paint which most painters are recommended. Instead he used Kale flexible paint and he charged me £1750 for the whole of the outside

The range of potential price has surprised us - 7000TL to £6k
Mehmet Painting is getting a lot of recommendations.

Don't know how it can be done for 7000tl .
A neighbour had there's done and the paint alone was 700tl per tub.

Call Mo. I have used him for years and just about everyone in the village uses him. The degree of preparation is second to none and the finish will last longer.

Others will know him I am sure. Very busy very popular. I seriously recommend you talk to him. It is all he does, he is very experienced on TRNC properties and the problems they have.

He only uses quality paint, Marshals paint is made by an internationally recognised company Akzo Nobel https://www.akzonobel.com/en/about-us/w ... s-overview

Yes I do agree with you JONNIE when you say that Marshall paint is internationally recognised and its the one that everyone recommends . However my villa is a sea front villa and we suffer from continuous pigeons waste ! I found that with Marshall paint it was very difficult to try and get the poo off the walls as Marshall paint was very chalky. However with the paint that Mahmut has used its a silky/flexible type of paint and we are able to wash off the pigeon poo so we are very happy.

Would recommend Hatib at Best Dreams. He made an excellent job of our neighbour's house which was in a dreadful state.
