The passport office sent my husband's old and new passports back to Trnc by DHL, got them 8 days after they went out for delivery, not bad considering 3 days of Bayram were in between. He paid £5 extra for the old one to be sent back securely. He did have to use the form for overseas applicants and pay the higher fee. We got someone to post the old passport and application form in the UK. Think the total cost was around £136, including fee for Jumbo passport.

The total cost was £125.36

Yes we did exactly the same. Got someone to take the passport back and post in the UK, then DHL back. Trackable all the way and even though the passport office addressed my passport wrongly and it ended up trying to be delivered in Istanbul, DHL called me to ask where I was and forwarded it to me here. Delivered to the door. Excellent service.
