Pegasus Airways. Arrrgh!
Have had flights booked for 9 months, yesterday afternoon (72 hours before flying) they decide to tell me I must change the return flight from 18.30 to 05.30 therefore having to loose a whole day and get up before I’ve gone to sleep! The reason being given is that people travelling on from Istanbul to Stansted will not have sufficient time to clear security. This is for “operational reasons” Stupid O clock flight times are not good when travelling with children, if I wanted that time I would have bloody booked it originally.
Trying to reschedule is like having teeth pulled, it has to be done but it’s painful. The alternative is that we cancel and rebook with another airline., a non starter having looked at the availability & flight costs They can’t even tell me whether the seats we have paid for will be available to us on the proposed changed flights.
Do not book the 18.30 from Ercan to Stansted, they will drop you in the poo. I hate this bloody company.
Moan over.

The BALPA strike with BA was bad enough, airline companies do not seem to realize that communication is everything?

As a matter of interest, how long was the connection time at İstanbul?

Oh for the days when all we had to do was stretch our legs and get a visit from Passport control without ever having to leave the plane. It wasn't that many years ago either.

Aylin: Been reduced to 1 hour. This has pretty much ruled us out from using Pegasus again via Ercan/Stansted again.come_on_aylin wrote:As a matter of interest, how long was the connection time at İstanbul?
To be honest I booked via Ercan because I thought we would be out of the EU by now and had feared that the South would start playing silly buggers with entry via Larnaca and the crossing. I’d much rather use EasyJet as they are cheaper and in my opinion offer a better service with better planes.

We rarely ever look at Ercan these days. Larnaca has so many more routes and less than half the price.

We've booked our kids with Pegasus at Christmas for same reason, normally they would come via Larnaca. Flight here has 95 minutes transfer time, flight back has 70 minutes but is via Izmir - hoping that'll be enough. They were advertised and sold as connecting flights but I guess yours were too. Let's hope that the South see it would be crazy to stop this revenue stream by not letting UK citizens North but until its confirmed I'm not chancing flying via Larnaca.Sallywebstersnipples wrote:Aylin: Been reduced to 1 hour.
