Hi All,

I am looking to renew our car insurance, any recommendations for good reliable providers please? Local to Zeytinlik preferred.

Trevor and Mary at Capital Insurance, inside Capital bank next door to Starling in Alsancak are very good. Someone decided to rearrange the boot of my car while we were all driving in a queue. It was a very low speed bang so no injuries thank goodness, I phoned Trevor and he came out to where I was, checked the guy's insurance, loaded all my stuff into his car as mine was undrivable, phoned for a tow truck and waited for it while I went to the police station with the police. He came and collected me from there and took me home and then picked me up next day to go and get the hire car that I was entitled to on my policy. Excellent service. I thoroughly recommend them.

Living in Kucuk Erenkoy, I emailed Capital Bank for a motor vehicle renewal quote. I received a response asking me to text, which I did. Nothing else heard or received. So, kept the same agent. Not a great service from Capital Bank and I bank with it too.

Tomsteel you must have been unlucky as i said Trevor & Mary away so perhaps that was the case but i have found them second to none on 2 occasions over the the years there break down cover has been a life saver . There with in the hour cheaper than other quotes i got no complaints great service every time

I agree emailed several times and have never had a reply so went elsewhere

I know Mary was having a lot of problems with sending emails, for some reason they were going straight to spam. This happened a couple of times with ones she sent to me. She was trying to get IT in Capital bank to investigate. Did you check your Spam folder?

There is no spam folder on a 'phone SMS (text) function. My original e-mail was received. It was the requested SMS which was ignored. It would appear I am not alone either.

Sorry then. However, your reply did not specify anybody, hence I thought it was a general point.

I'd advise anyone seeking any insurance to shop around. Despite being told that 'all insurance companies have to charge the same' i.e. for car insurance, I found that untrue. I got a much cheaper deal when I did that, which unfortunately upset, greatly, the couple who I'd been with for many years.

Although the rates for 'Legal Minimum' - i.e. 3rd Party - insurance are all much the same, this certainly does not apply to 'Comprehensive' Insurance where the prices and benefits vary widely!
