More roads are being closed, presumably so the emergency services can get in and out of the area as everyone heads over for a look.. Fez at Catalkoy have opened their doors for anyone stuck or needing respite

We awoke at 2am to the start of this which I first thought was a storm but very soon realised it wasn't! Our house was rocked by the initial blast. I was convinced this morning that people on base at least would have been killed so am pleased to find this morning that is not the case.
As it is being reported as a fire in the armoury wouldn't you have thought that would have been an ideal place to have a fire detector and sprinkler system?

I take it the mountain road is closed? The reason I ask is that we are flying back to the TRNC today to Ozankoy.

Whilst I have no reason to doubt Yusef's helpful post, can anybody corroborate the statement from First Call Estate Agents that the coast road from Girne - Tatlisu is open for traffic, please? Thank you!
