Does anyone have experience first hand ie actually using one in there villa in North Cyprus, so my question is simple are you drinking the water it filters. I’ve seen a system on amazon reduced to £149. 4.5 star rating so the price of a water cooler. I would get my plumber to fit it,but it would save so much hassle humping and dumping the water bottles.

Does anyone have any recomondations ?

We had a similar system and were totally shocked at the state of the filters after a year.

Exactly.

Not reverse osmosis, granted. I replace our water filters every six weeks or more frequently if they look grim.

With the quality of mains water provision here how anyone can believe the sales spiel advising only need to have filters changed twice yearly is beyond me.

We live in the south and bought the Ecosoft RO system. These systems take a fair amount of space under the sink so you need to plan for that. We have a separate tap for RO water and only use it for drinking and cooking. RO generates a lot of waste water during processing. We thought that might be a problem, but it is not as we limit our use of the RO water.

Friends of ours have installed their RO system in another part of their kitchen, away from the sink, with a special water dispenser on the counter above. That works well too.

Many people in the south are happy to drink the tap water. Personally choice. We had our water analysed before installing an RO system. There was ammonia in it, probably from agriculture. The lab said it was still safe to drink, but the ammonia was above EU limits so we went for RO.
