Depends if you have to leave the international airport and go to the domestic airport, if so you have to go through passport control and security even though you don’t have your luggage. You don’t leave the International airport at Ataturk. Check your flight details.

Thanks for replies.

It’s Turkish (Well Turkish and there subsidiary Anadolu Jet) all the way with luggage transferred straight across. No luggage collection or rechecking in for next flight once arrived in Istanbul.

Have checked with friends who flew out in Sept and they confirmed same - no e visa needed.

We are assuming that the child is yours. There have been issues I.e. with grandchildren who have different names, I believe whether allowed to leave the country without a parent.

Several years ago we arrived back in the UK having spent two weeks holiday in N Cyprus with our two grandsons, Border Force got quite exercised when they discovered that we were not in possession of written authority from our daughter allowing us to take them out of the country - makes sense nowadays.

Are visas/e-visas going to be imposed for tourists/short stay visitors from 23 October? I understood initially that they were. I've emailed the TRNC Representative in London with questions in this matter but have not had any response. I will be flying via Larnaca.
