Azimo currency transfer

I have just been looking at Moneysavingexpert.com and, following one of the recommendations, contacted a currency transfer company called Azimo -
https://azimo.com I chatted on-line with one of the reps and it seems as though for 0.99 euros per transaction, I can transfer money from my UK bank account to my TRNC Bank. They also say the Bank is unlikely to charge for receiving it in this way. I understand that they will probably make money through the exchange rate but seems a bit too good to be true. Has anyone tried this company?

I haven't tried them, but I would warn you to check with your TRNC bank to see what charges they will actually impose - a third party saying that the Bank is unlikely to charge for receiving it is no sort of assurance at all!

The local banks tend to charge for receiving foreign currency transfers so unless the company you mention convert the amount transferred to lira as part of the transaction then it is highly likely that you will be charged.
