Hi

Does anyone know if you have to use special paint/filler/solution in the 'channels' (that are covered by the grids) that surround the pool?

May I also take this opportunity to thank everyone who has provided solutions to my previous questions on various subjects - they are always constructive and helpful - like having your own personal advisor!!

It should be coated with waterproof render, but I'm no expert and no doubt one will answer your question professionally when they get on, we had to get ours done as the builder didn't do it in build

It is a special treatment using a product which can be purchased at Marshalls.

A common problem here is water leaking from the pool to the channel. Often this goes unnoticed as it does not show as water loss. If you then seal the channel the water pressure causes the paint to bubble. You could be opening a can of worms, beware
