Hi all

We are considering trying to get someone to come over and do Turkish lessons for us.

Does anyone have any experiences of this that they would like to share? Recommendations are welcome.

Kind regards

Lasagne

It very much depends or your goals.... if you just want conversational Turkish, there are some good self-learning courses on the internet. If you want to learn how to read, write and speak proper Turkish then I can not recommend Fehime Arkol highly enough.

Dear Lasagne,

Are you a complete beginner in Turkish or have you already had some lessons so far ?
Depending on your answer, I may then be able to assist you.

Hi

Pretty much complete beginners.

We are looking for colloquial Turkish, reading and writing isn’t really necessary.

Kind regards

Lasagne

In my experience over the last year learning online with Babbel, reading and writing have certainly helped me to understand what i am listening to and saying. The last thing i wanted was to end up sounding like the copper in Allo Allo

Here is what my teaching experience says for learning and using a language : '' Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking are the 'must' skills supported by the Grammar.''

We could also be interested in a home teacher.
