Hi, I take it that you're talking about chairs with 'gas struts' - if so, most office equipment suppliers have the facility to replace worn/faulty cylinder mechanisms, 'cos it becomes a very common fault as these things get older.

I've not had to have one done in TRNC, but if you approach your nearest office supply company, I'm sure that they'll sort you out PDQ!

p.s. don't try to fix it yourself unless you have experience of the procedure - it can be quite dangerous!!!

Just as a totally "outfield" thought - I've seen Ali Tektan in Girne recommended for so many sorts of repairs (he repaired my water cooler), so might it at least be worth visiting/asking him?
