Can someone give me directions to get to the other side of the dam - do you turn left at the bottom of the hill or do you need to drive past the dam and turn left? I can see cars and wooden huts at the other side but am not sure how to get there by car. Thank you.

You can’t currently get down there by car......
I am led to understand barriers were put up because of the amount of rubbish being left behind...don’t know how true that is.

If you go past the speed camera at Camlibel then turn left and go past the cemetery....there is a route down by foot

Last time I was up at the dam (aat least 18 months ago now). The guy who was then working the barrier told me that access had been closed as the road was unsafe and was being resurfaced.

I was also informed that it was closed to cars, although you can walk up there. Also i was told that the Forestry people are planning to plant a lot of lavender plants up there, to make some sort of lavender farm.
