Kibkom North Cyprus Forum

I will be bringing over 100 T-shirts which will be given out free to members of the Kibkom Forum, well for those that would like one. They will be given out on the day of the Flight competition to be drawn on Sun 8th July 2012.
There are three designs, so I need members to vote on their favourite design 1,2 or 3.

soner ithink no 1 is good just an idea i know it would be more expense but would it be a good idea to have our names as in forum names printed on the back or do you think that is too naff

Definately No1.

No 2 is OK but a lot of people wouldn't figure out what the character was (my son told me) and No 3 is too wordy.
Put me down for one!!

As to pretty picture - I like the frog at the top of this page, and I have no idea what the Turkish choice is, and I don't want nothing - no point in giving away a tee shirt, unlessone wanted to have it printed. Personally I fancy a frog over my left bosom with wording on the right !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the idea of the forum name on the back, but maybe we get that done ourselves.

How can I get T shirt as I will not be around in July...any for sale?

billywiz, is a good idea, but then I would need to take orders, sizes, names,etc.. and would be too complicated and more costly. I will PM you.

PoshinDevon, will be selling them and can put what you want on back, will only post to UK destinations. Price will be £9.99 + postage + £3.00 for back print. Will be set up though my printing company and details will be posted soon.

I could donate £5 for every shirt sold to maybe an animal charity in the TRNC. Any thoughts?

What a coincidence, I have been thinking about getting a couple of t shirts printed locally promoting KIBKOM.COM. Obviously, with a blue butterfly on the back.

No offence to yourself but I,m not really that keen on the 3 designs on offer, nothing wrong with them, it,s just that I have a thing about wearing green and they do have a lot of green in them.

May I suggest SPOT as the animal charity, these people, as do all volunteers, work extremely hard to preserve the endangered turtles, and don,t really get that much limelight.

Sounds like a good one, I had donated 100GBP not long ago and I am helping redevelop and maintain their website - free help offered by my web company eyya.com - so does make sense.

And don't forget it is a MUST that soner is one of my victims in November, along with an Anne Robinson on the 4th Weakest Link in aid of SPOT.

By the way, what is the character on t shirt 2? I may be a bit out of touch but it looks like a pepperoni sausage.

LOL, it is an asparagus and in Turkish called Ayrelli - hence - Ayrelli likes Kibkom -" I really likes Kibkom"

Slightly off the topic of t shirts, but who is going to be Anne Robinson this year? I am almost certain that Neil Anthony mentioned last year that he might consider it if asked.

sorry to tell you but I am SPOT's ann robinson, until pushed out. I thought Neil was gong to do his own thing, but have heard no more. Neil is a fascinating character and a great Dolly Rawlings, but I can't see him as ann robinson.

I agree, no 1 is the best. That's a wonderful idea Soner to donate to an animal charity - the obvious one would be KAR?

Hi Soner, the T shirt idea sounds great, if you need to get any made in TRNC, I can give you a contact who helped us with the T shirts for the Fun Run. I think you could negotiate a better price than bringing them in from the UK as you could get hit with customs duty, plus the obvious cost of getting them here.
The turtle charity (SPOT), already suggested or perhaps The Royal Donkey's are both charities for the indigenous wildlife of the island, both of which struggle to raise funding to protect these beautiful creatures for future generations. Not wanting to cause you any exra work Soner, turtles and donkeys being locals as it were, everyone would recognise their pictures. That said, so is the Tree Frog on T shirt one but i don't think they have a charity helping them yet!

What a good idea and generous offer. I guess the No 1 Frog will be chosen as he said of designs 2 and 3 "readit, readit". I also guess that the sizes will be something like small, medium, large etc. No doubt the wildebeest will be able to tailor and shape one to wizened wimp size for me !

Please may I have one ? Promise to wear it 24/7. Before anyone says anything, will shower in it twice daily,so there!

Sorry, I can not take orders as this will be too time consuming for me. I will however, bring 100 t-shirts of mixed sizes and they will be available on a first come first served basis.

If sombody is willing to write down a list people and sizes then pass it on to me in 2 weeks time then I will print to order.

Also, if anyone would like their Username on the back this will be cost 10TL - and money will need to be collected.

As I won`t be in the country when you come I could pay my TL10 to Bestsellers. The lady knows me now.

I wonder if I can be of any use here, but I liv e wayoff the main drag. But most people around know me, so if any of them wanted to thrust their 10tl in my hand and give me a piece of paper with a name on it, I could collate it all. and I want mine, please!
But isn't that a heck of a lot of extra work for you Soner?

Great way to maybe strike up a conversation with a complete stranger.

Oh dear I am strange, I like design no 2, think it is great and it looks like the man from peperroni to me (know spelling is wrong), when do you arrive Soner, we are doing a fete in aid of Children in Need and Ismail on the 1st July, maybe that would be a good place to give them away, and also maybe you could just ask for donations and give to the charity, this will be the second one we have organaised, the first raised just over 5,500tl and had over 1,000 visitors, we hope to do better this this time, so sounds like an ideal opportunity for Kibkom to get further on the map, and an ideal opportunity for us to raise further funds, we have already secured Katie B and the Gypsy Brothers to perform for us, which is great, Johnnylea will also be there for the day and other big names here which have yet to be confirmed on availability, so looks like a great day for all!

Nice idea Barbie, but Soner doesn't arrive until the 6th (I think), so he won't be around then, and that is why we have provisionally booked the date of 8th for the get together. XShame, but......
