Hello to all users - we are your newest members

You may remember that the people of North Cyprus took our daughter under their wing and provided a wedding day
to beat all others last September. She has terminal cancer which is in Stage 4 now. She is certainly not feeling sorry
for herself and is coming over to visit us on Saturday of this week with 1 of her twin daughters - followed by the other one
the next week. She still visits the gym regularly and has lost weight to try and get into her summer clothes.

This posting is to say thankyou once again to everyone who met Mel and welcomed her so warmly. She can't wait to get
here to get some well needed sunshine.

I think it is more of a chance for us all to meet the beautiful Melanie, give her a hug and reassure her that the island of lov e's love for her is not diminished.

Thanks for the thanks, but I think it is also thanks to you for being the kind of parents many of us would have liked to have had.

Enjoy melanie's time here. Quality of life is what it is all about - and not just for cancer patients??????????/

What lovely, positive people you are. I too have a daughter who I love more than life and I am sure that, God forbid, if I was ever in your position I couldn,t be so brave.

I reckon we need a real get together session - Ann, Raph, ScoobyDoo, me, teresa, etc, etc with Mel and the rest of her family as and when they are here.

any ideas Mum and Dad???????????We will all pay for our drinks etc, but it would be good to get together again. Watcha fink?

Welcome 1friendly and may I also say what a positive message you gave, it puts all else into perspective, good luck to your daughter and Im sure she will have a wonderful holiday with all her family around her and soak up some of that sunshine.

So we are all meeting up at the NCCCT coffee morning. Will you be there Scooby Doo? Mel was at the one last year at TYhe Meadow, soit will be good for her to meet up with the people who were so supportive of her then. A very good reason for supporting NCCCT as they provide equipment that helps people like Mel over here. And for anyone reading this who has not read the other thread, it is at The Malpas, Catalkoy, 10.30a.m. Tuesday (as in'tomorrow)
