I have now started to offer the below services. I am based in Gecitkale but I will collect and deliver any orders; by all means, if you are in the area then feel free to pop in. If interested, then please contact me via PM or email:

Negative or Slides to Digital Scanning Service: 35mm & 110 or 126 format
300 dpi = £1.15 (10 minimum)
600 dpi = £1.45 (10 minimum)
1200 dpi = £1.75(10 minimum)
Video to Digital Transfer Service: VHS & VHS-C
To DVD, MPEG, or MP4
Video = £15 each
PLUS
Further reduction in file size for Web = £7 each
Editing and/or removing of White Noise = £5 each
Audio Cassette to MP3 digital
60 - 120min cassettes = £15.00 each side
Photo Restoration Services
Basic = £5 per photo
- Restore faded colours
- Face and body retouching
- Remove minor stains and blemishes
- Adjust colour, lighting and/or contrast
Moderate = £8 per photo
- Fix multiple cracks and tears
- Repair missing or torn corners
- Remove multiple stains and blemishes
- Moderate skin / facial retouching
- Remove or change background
Severe = £15 per photo
- Fix major cracks and tears
- Repair major water or mould damage
- Recreate damaged face or body parts
Black & White Photo to Colour
Prices from £5 per photo

Video tapes to Digital

I have just had a lot of old video tapes transferred to digital (cd) format by Soner,
He has done an excellent job with home videos that were over 30 yrs old, He is very professional and meticulous with excellent prices, and we are now getting all our videos transferred over the next few months.

Will check to see if I have an old cassette player lying around. If so, then this will be possible.

Looks like I had got rid of my old cassette players just before I came out to TRNC. I will check with some friends in my village to see if they have any lying around. Or, if anyone on the forum that can help, please get in touch. Anything will do, a cassette recorder of walkman etc.

Soner,Did you know Toshiba are still making a machine to transfer vhs to dvd.It costs £340 on Amazon.Where i live now in North devon a shop charged £30 to convert one vhs to dvd and wanted £10 for extra copys,Clever son made 12 copies for less than that,Another chap wants £19 to set it up and £6 per hour.I have about 60 vhs and vhsc tapes and its times like this i wish i was still in Alsancak.

Where are you?? Have quite a few.
The other thing I have and would love to have transferred to disc or memory stick is standard 8 movie film. They are quite old 50's - Family, Leipzig zoo, 1958 London, Island of Rügen, and more. quite precious to me but unless I do something, soon I will have nothing!!

Hi Dippersgirl, sorry but I cannot convert standard 8mm film, however, if this all picks up, then maybe in the near future I may invest in the equipment.

Thank you that's very kind of you, however, I have already ordered a digital tape converter already. Should get it in 2 weeks time.

Audio Conversion Equipment has arrived, I am in Girne tomorrow, if you would like me to collect, otherwise will have to arrange after 11th Sept. Call me if you would like me to collect tape tomorrow: 0533 848 88 38
