We are looking to replace our front door, has anyone got any reccomendations? I have contacted Tescomar for an estimate but would be nice to have a couple more quotes to compare.

Blue Island nr the Malpas turning did mine very good job.

I'll also be needing a wooden front door soon preferably with multi-point locking.

I’ll also recommend Blue Island. Had a larger non standard door replaced two weeks ago.Very happy with service & workmanship.

Call into Esentepe DIY in the centre of the village and I'm sure they will know of a local workman who can supply one

I used dogpen for Upvc great service.

Doğpen can be found on Karaoğlanoğlu industrial estate, towards the back, situated on the corner of a T junction. Opposite a stone merchant.

Thanks for all the replies, had a ballpark quote from Tescomar at £1050...this is for a double door in aluminium, glass is extra.....sounds expensive to me so will have to do some more shopping around.

There is a place next door to Universal Bank in Catalkoy and next but one to Pamper Yourself......specialises in doors.

Be careful the the door place mentioned above. My friend ordered one, waited nearly 3 months, then they turned up with a door that did'nt fit, another 3 weeks later still NO door, so sent her Turkish neighbour round and he he got her money back as they would not refund her directly.

Never used them myself.....just noticed them,not a good experience for your friend warhorse,thanks for info.

Don’t go to Oves Doors in Catalkoy. We ordered a door in August 2019 from their catalogue and were told it would take 1 month! Four months later the door arrived and it bore very little resemblance to the picture of the door we’d ordered! So we rejected it and were told we would have our new door within 1 month, 2.5 months later and the new door arrives and again, is not a lot like what we ordered.

They’ve now blocked us on the phone and WhatsApp cos we had the audacity to ask for our deposit back! Think waiting 6.5 months for a door was more than patient enough!
