I did hear that they had given a large chunk of money somewhere to help with a charity, or I could be getting mixed up with one of the banks who is also paying for fuel for the ambulance service for a length of time.
Let's see in the coming days, there's many doers out there plus many talkers!

Yes, I agree re Altinbas/Credit West , they certainly appear to be stepping up to the line on this one, don't they. My little dig was at Lemar, I haven't heard a thing about them, have you? Maybe they are supplying food and/or money and are being secretive about it?

For all you Facebook users, if you want to know what Lemar is doing - go to their Facebook, it’s all on there.

sophie, I don't "Do" facebook either but you have to look at it or you will miss loads of information, for instance the Local Gove Facebook pages and such, it seems the world has gone to Facebook instead of actually talking to each other and that happened long before Covid!
Yes, Lemar are doing things and have been for some time - did not know they had a Facebook page until today!!!

See
here - you don't have to join or sign in to facebook in order to use it as a source of information - it does seem a little perverse to deliberately cut yourself off from any source of information in a crisis!
You can also view the
Alsancak and
Lapta Belediyesi pages, if prompted to join/log on, just click 'not now'...
Even if you do join, you don't have to actually post anything or any information about yourself, you can even create a free Gmail account to use for the purpose if you like, you can use any name that you like, - and it doesn't cost anything!
