Ipad keeps asking to download ‘index.html’

This pop up is almost constant since yesterday evening, any advice please?

It is doing it here on my android phone. I think its something to do with google syndicated news system and an 'error' at google's end. That is just a guess. I suspect they will get it sorted in due case.

There are articles on Google about this problem, but not yet seen a solution to it? Has anyone on here got rid of this pop-p? My wife’s iPad now suffering with the issue.

I am now also getting a similar thing happening on my laptop. It seems to only happens when I am reading the Daily Mail. A box appears at the bottom of the screen asking what I want to do with index.html (47.4 kb), open, save or cancel? It says it is from tpc.googlesyndication.com. I keep cancelling it as I don't have a clue why it has suddenly started, and I don't want to do anything that might affect my laptop, but it keeps on popping back. BBC news page is fine, it doesn't appear on there. Same on my I pad, it seems to only happen on certain sites, Daily Mail for example.

Yesterday I downloaded the latest software update to my wife’s iPad (ISO 13.4.1), seems to have got rid of the pop-up - for now at least!
