This has only just really hit me.

The price of oil dropped so low yesterday that they can't afford to even pump it out of the ground now.
Can you imagine no petrol or diesel because it's so cheap that no one can afford to manufacture it?

Better get stocking up with torches and candles.

I think the best thing is we completely switch to renewables. When I say completely I mean of course that we can only use renewable energy to create the infrastructure for 100% renewable energy because anything other than that would be a bit hypocritical really. I can't see it proving a problem because all the research seems to indicate it is cheaper, cleaner and more efficient
