Hi.

Does anybody know if the desk at the State Hospital in Girne is open for the collection of Residency blood test results?

Thanks.

Are the still renewing residency at the moment?

I doubt very much that they are processing anything. The only reason I'm asking is so that when I do go into Girne, I can go an the right day to get as many things sorted as possible without unnecessary/wasted visits to places that aren't open. Just trying to take out the guesswork really.

Good idea, I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning.
I'll probably wait for the text message (apparently this is what happens) to tell me that I can then take my results to immigration at Lefkosia.

Hi Finchy.

I had to go across to Girne this morning and decided to drop by the Hospital on the off chance. Collection desk was open so I have my results at the ready.
Not holding my breath for a call from Immigration anytime soon because of the lockdown knock on. Not complaining about that though all things considered.

Would it not be a good idea to have all of us who are starting or renewing residency tested for Covid? It would be good for us to know either way if we have it or have had it or not and it would also help out the country with their testing program. Just a thought, now I will get back in my bunker and read all the reasons why it is NOT a good idea.

Popped into the Police station on Monday, enquired when they'll open for renewals etc, the pleasant lady Inspector shrugged her shoulders and smiled, definately not before the 18th I suspect.
