I'm sure I read a couple of weeks ago that all shops etc were to ask anyone entering their premises to fill in a form giving Full Name and Phone Number. Has this died a death or not come into force yet. Something to do with trace, track and test.

Same at china bazaar west side yesterday. I am somewhat sceptical that should tracing need to be done these lists will be legible or even have honest info on them but in such a case anything more than nothing is of value I suppose.

When i went to asbank the young girl asked me for.my phone number. In case someone has symptoms. I cannot believe that only 4 people have died this side of the island. I am so thankful for lockdown. When walking from ozankoy to karakum lemar or starling (car problems) people are not wearing masks or gloves. I have been wearing for at least 3 weeks now. I will still wear masks and gloves for at least a month. We live in such a careful side of island. My sister in law lives in south. 20 people have died as of last week. Diy shops open only things closed bars and restaurants. From last monday they have to wear masks and gloves. They have to phone police if they want to go to supermarket or bank or chemist. Now they can leave 3 times a day still have to phone though.

As usual no two places actually stick to the rules.
COMPLACENCY is a hard task master.
I believe that at the moment we in the north don't have the virus amongst us. But when the border is open and there are people crossing, both ways then we are back to square one or worse.

Big Pound shop on the bypass has a guy on the door taking names and phone numbers. What's the good though if the supermarkets don't have to do the same? They are the most frequented, surely.

Mr £ do, the old one. I went with my partner yesterday they only wanted one name and phone number though!

Eminağa garden centre Çatalköy are taking name, phone number and village of residence at the door.

Great about the ones that do, the problem is the ones that don't bother !

Well at least some are and its better than nothing I guess. Certainly Sah are not complying this morning and there were few enough people inside for it not to be a problem. However at 10am we drove past Mr Pound+ and the car park was chocker. Can't believe that everyone had to stop and if they were, I bet the writing was illegible, even if people told the truth all the time. Like Sausage and Pash I too am somewhat sceptical about the low number of deaths. But then what do I know? As to people coming across the border South to North, I suspect that will be the very last obstacle demolished. Rightly so.

We survived without the borders being opened before.

We were in Mr Pound, entered our details, temp checked, those that did not have gloves were given them, can't say about masks as everyone I saw had a mask including staff. Although the car park was full, inside lots of room, no crowding at the cash tills people kept at least 1 metre apart.

Ah good, might pay them a call then tomorrow.

beg to differ with Sah..... it is the idiots ignoring the rules cos they think they are clever....not.... this was our experience this morning.. and I truly hope these idiots see this and understand, although idiots are always idiots.....

Bit of a rant here, and maybe the low lifes I am referring to will be on this site and ashamed of themselves...... in Sah supermarket this morning..... everyone abiding by the rules, checks done at the door.... get to the veg section.... there was a bloke and a woman with him wearing her mask.... his was around his neck.... ffs what is that all about, clearly he wore the mask to get in then pulled it down, breathed, coughed, whatever over the veg.... hubby told him to pull the mask up.... he sniggered so did his wife/partner.... pathetic behaviour when everyone is doing their level best..... shame on you whoever you are.... and they were elderly, so not all the idiots are kids.... rant over.

The problem is they have young kids on the doors in some of the supermarkets, yesterday behind me in the Supreme a guy walked in holding a handkerchief to his mouth, once inside he put it away.
The other day we took a short walk to Erdiner supermarket, on our way three boys in their late teens were walking towards us so we moved over to avoid them, they were not wearing masks, they approached us and started coughing and spitting they thought it was really smart.

Some people just dont get it all! Normally I wouldn't wish ill on anyone however, if those people caught it they would not get one ounce of sympathy from me.

Trouble is Mollie, you can save your sympathy in any case, because if push came to shove it wouldn't be them that caught Covid., sadly it doesn't seem to work that way. Here's a UK example,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, yesterday was VE day as you know, people had bunting out etc, etc and were celebrating on their own. Next door but two to my NURSE daughter was a couple who had clearly invited their family and friends around for a BBQ and a great time was being had by all. My daughter rang me at 9pm in tears as could see from her bedroom that absolutely no Soc.Dis was being carried out. What also sickened her was that the householders regularly went out on a Thursday for "the Clap for the NHS" and they know my what my daughter does and where she works. My 23 yr old grandson is having is own medical problems and my daughter would have sold her right arm to have driven the 25 miles to see him, but she didn't, she stayed at home and spoke on Face Time (or something) to try and compensate. Believe me, there are some moronic cretins everywhere. Keep safe.

What nationality? I would assume british or brought up in the uk as I can not imagine a native Turk or Pakistani insulting someone here as they know they could get in serious trouble if it was reported and they have more of an understanding of the spotlight on you from their own countries.

I doubt that some smaller shops who lets say are economical on how much they declare goes through their tills are going to list the customers who don’t officially go in their shops.

I have no idea why you may think they are British? They began laughing when they left us speaking in a foreign language certainly not British. I dont wish to stereotype but they were dark skinned and looked like many Pakistanis I have met previously.
Whatever their race it was just plain wrong.

Tried to get in to Mr Pound+ yesterday afternoon about 4pm. Car parks chocker plus parking on the main road, queue to get in around the block with people shoulder to shoulder. Drove home again.

Went in china Bazaar today. There at the door was the girl doing the thermometer bit. I was handed a piece of paper and asked to put full name and phone number. Sadly the sheet had no lines or proper columns and I'm pretty sure my name ended up level with the phone number of the person in front. At least they are trying.

I filled in my details at the small electrical shop near the new Ileli. I was their second customer and it was about 11:00. So I believe this must be one of the quietest shops around.

I also filled in my details at Cartridge Island and the copy shop on the GAU road.

Most people I saw today were wearing masks. Mostly covering their mouth and nose.

No one wants a fine with only a few days before the end of lockdown.

One other point, walking past the Merit hotels in Alsancak, there were guys re-fitting the sun decks and a jcb clearing the seaweed from the beach. Are they getting ready for something?

Final point, guys with dark haired beards should not be allowed to wear dark colored masks!

PS. I must have seen a dozen police/zabita. I will leave you to decide if they even had possession of a mask!
