Socialising for the younger expats

I am 34yrs old and have moved here from the UK and sometimes get a little lonely.

I would like to make some new genuine friends around my own age. I am really laid back like having a laugh, shopping, eating out, clubbing, chilling out watching movies having a drink and a girly chat.

Surely there are others out there feeling the same..

Welcome to this lovely island

Let people on here know where abouts you are ie east or west and then they will be able to suggest places to go and meet

Hi Dandelite,
My wife (an English-speaking, US educated TC) and I (expat) are both close to 30 and live about 30-45 minutes from Girne. I know how difficult it can be to meet up with people our age. I've lived here several years and still don't know many expats our age, and while maybe it's not PC I have to say it's generally more fun hanging out with people closer to your own age than hanging out exclusively with British retirees. They're fine people,of course, you just usually have a little less in common. I'd be happy to meet up some weekend for a coffee or something if you're interested. You can send me an email if you're up for a cup or lunch or something and want to hear about the situation from some people who've been through it for a while.
