As I understand it . Students are allowed in before home owners or res
idents with permits . That's nice !
Student year does not start until September although I stand corrected if I am wrong. So if that's the case are they saying people in the UK who have homes here cannot come until after September !
Been here 16 years and this is the icing on the cake for I guess many . Awful treatment as usual

If you read ny posting I did say I stand corrected if the student year does not start in September. . I was saying that if it does then according to cypru media students are allowed in before anyone who is,stick in the UK through no fault of their own.

As far as I am aware all other media and information sites state that only the first stage has been decided and that is for TRNC citizens to return after 1 June. No other dates have been announced for the other 2 stages.

Transport Minister Tolga Atakan made a detailed explanation of how to arrive in the country after June 1 to Haber Cyprus.
Minister Atakan said that TRNC citizens, whose primary residence was in TRNC after June 1, could enter the country with a 14-day quarantine condition. Minister Atakan said that they can also program the citizens of the TRNC, whose residence is not in the TRNC. After the reopening of Ercan Airport, he said, the priority time to enter Northern Cyprus is as follows: first the citizens of Northern Cyprus, then the students and then the holders of work permits and homebuyers.

Can't think why it has taken you this time to realise. The fact that after 16 years of living here I and my husband are still referred to as "visitors" and have to reapply every 1 or 2 years to remain a "Visitor" should tell you all you need to know.

Yes. Its a,sad fact . Quite right. It's not taken us that long to realise. It went down hill many years ago. Unfortunately we are stuck between a,rock and a hard place. . That's the reality. Was just trying to indicate how bad they really treat us.

Seems to me priority is to be given to
1. Citizens normally resident in TRNC
2. Citizens not normally resident in TRNC
3. All other non citizens equally, be they students, work permit, temp residency.

Do you think if you go back to the UK after say 9 years you should go above any immigrants that have made their home there for the last 9 years on any waiting lists and suchlike?
