Seeking a Good Samaritan car driver - Girne

Hi Everyone
I hope you have all been coping well during the lockdown
There are still no dolmus operating for the time being. However, there are items I need to source/buy from a few shops =Yapi type markets. I do not have any transport so these are the places I cannot get to without public transport.
As Bayram is in a few days I was hoping that there is a kind soul out there who may be able to offer me their time and a lift in order to get some hardware bits and pieces before the holiday.
The shopping foray will take less than one hour.
I would be grateful if you could private message me if you can help me out.
Many thanks
Liz

Might be an idea if you said where you are and then people will know where you need picking up and taking to.

Social distancing not easy in a car.

Oops, think we had all forgotten that. Wear masks and gloves and sit at the back?

Massive area though isn't it. Plus knowing the perception that the East is the dark side.

It seems like Liz has waited a long time before asking for a lift. The pandemic in North Cyprus is over in my opinion although it's good to see the wearing of masks is still mandatory in public places. I waited three hours at the Girne tax office on Monday morning to pay our car tax. All were wearing masks in the outside area with no aircon. When I eventually got inside to pay it was nice to see that it was lovely and cool inside for the staff. Something wrong there, I think.

So much for a SOS 'Good Samaritan', call out for a driver to Yapi shops. No reply to offer so, in my opinion, a totally discourteous request of a waste of space poster!

Liz did ask that you (as in any offers of help) should come via PM.... Did you send one?

Thank you Groucho as I had been checking my emails regularly as I knew I would have to be out walking today so would not be able to check my laptop for replies. Yes I live in central Girne by the tax office actually lol.
In UK recently they have said that it is ok to travel in cars re social distancing so long as you have all the windows open. I also wear my mask all the time I am outside anyway. So had already considered other's welfare prior to asking.
Sorry to read Brinsley that you are quick to label people 'waste of space' posters without the facts. so be it. But thanks for the offer.
I wish to thank everyone for their time and update that my current position is that a garden centre owner was kind enough to take me to a yapi market today so I was able to get the majority of things I needed, and I was dropped off home together with some plants I had bought from him. So a big thumbs up to Perfect Garden Centre for helping me out.
Good to see the coffee shops back open for a much needed cool drink and loo - much needed in this heat and much missed and now more appreciated, when having to walk further afield to find things over the last few months. But a brilliant result so far TRNC! Now just swimming in sea and dolmus next hopefully. Blessings.

Apologies LizA, I too was anxious to get out and do some shopping chores after 7 weeks of lock-down isolation and the company would have been refreshing. To make amends, the next time you need chauffeuring duties let me know and will endeavour to assist.

Thank you Brinsley, that is very kind and considerate of you. I will be very grateful as my car went to the scrap heap over 18 months ago and there are times when I do get stuck trying to get to somewhere that the dolmus don't go to. I certainly appreciate your offer and will pm you.
