Does anyone know when or indeed if the hotel will open again?

Actually i've just received notification from them saying reopening July 1st !
fwiw to anyone.

I hope it will stay shut forever. It is a hideous monstrosity that ruins the coastline and the views for miles around!

Don't forget the sewage stench

Yee Gods, the sewage smell. On a drive out last year we stopped there for coffee, the smell was so bad that we turned around in the car park and left. Absolutely dreadful.

They can't get much in the way of return business, can they?

Driving passed is far worse as their sewage plant is near the road, I have been told by many customers the smell is non existent down near the beach or the restaurants facing north but with Catalkoy municipality rubbish storage site next door before transporting it to the dump, that may cause another different kind of smell.

Eitherway snd1966, I won't be calling in there again. If the wind changes direction I would suggest the people on the beach and restaurants on the other side of the hotel couldn't help but be engulfed in the pong. Sorry, but you won't convince me!!
