Is it right to mention "BLACK PUDDING" in the present climate?

Are you more vulnerable to catching CV-19 if you eat Black Pudding then?

Who would have thought that fried congealed blood could taste so nice? Bram Stoker would be proud.

Speaking of the colour... when I was in Scotland many years ago I had a full Scottish breakfast which came with white pudding. Was also very nice.

Years ago in another life I had occasion to be at Brig o’ Don (Gordon) Barracks in Aberdeen.

One evening I went out for a walk and fancied a bag of chips.

On the menu was a “Pudding (pronounced “Pudden”) Supper”. I thought I’ll have one of those and asked for it.

Back came the reply, “Black, white, red or haggis?”

Bury Market, Lancashire, is the home of Black Puddings and has a large stall specializing in them, hot or cold. A common sight around the market is people eating hot ones -often with lashings of English Mustard- from sheets greaseproof paper!

Several other stalls in the market sell varieties of white/Scotch pudding. You can even get Lancashire Haggis!
