Permanent Residence (White Card) anyone have information regarding the application process,

A friend of mine who has been here with 23 residency stamps, tried to go through the process and gave up.

They kept asking for this then when he went back they asked for something else and it went on and on.

He gave up in the end, it was as though they just made it so difficult.

I can't shed any light on perminent residency. I am a citizen of the TRNC and have been for a long time ( 18 ) yrs. All l can say is go to the residency office and ask. You will need quite a number of yrs unbroken stamps.

You still have to renew it every 2 yrs so how is it permanent.

I do believe there are moves afoot to ensure British people's wallets and purses can get citizenship.

If you are a fat, illegal, con artist of a builder wanted by the UK police, you can get Citizenship for yourself, your wife and children (Remember him?). Also if you are second rate boxer who trained here for a few weeks and on a couple of occasions wore the TRNC flag on your shorts, you can also get Citizenship.

After the second renewal at the time you can apply for citizenship and pray it will only take 2 years to sort out. Maybe permanent residence is different to a beyaz kimlik

Yes, there is apparently a difference between the white kimlik card and Permanent Residence. After having had a kimlik card for some time, I later obtained a Permanent Residence Certificate, which is a different document called "HICRET IZNI" (Immigration Permit).
