I do know that if you walk over the Ledra Street crossing there's a bus to IKEA for only 1 Euro from the bus station at the top of Ledra St.

Ledra Street is the new walk through crossing with Debenhams etc. in the same street... as you say, the other crossing is called Ledra Palace. I don't mean the palace crossing.
Walk straight up the Ledra street until you reach the bus/coach station and the buses are regular.

Would not advise anyone to cross by car Saturday, went last Saturday, firstly it took around 1 hour to cross from our side, went to Jumbo probably queued to pay best part of an hour, went to Mall for pair of earrings, no spaces whatsoever, friend parked opposite ran over, arguments galore among cars trying to park, will add all greek cars (they celebrate Christmas), then M & S friend had to stay in car, the only easy part was Carreforre, came home very late and exhausted, was advised in The Mall this is what it is like every Saturday and Sunday on build up to Christmas, so good luck Metin!
