Residency and Renting - Questions.

On a meagre income and renting I was delighted, last year, to find I came under the "
Short Term Residence Permit Based on Income" list. Since then things have moved on - apparently the Govt websites have not moved on in the same pace - so now it comes time for me to renew my residency, for the 13th time.
I am aware there is an initial step of logging onto the web site and registering prior to being able to begin this process, however, once I have done that and am registered - then what?
Specifically: What documentation do I need to hand to complete the process - I can not find a list of requirements anywhere, anymore? HELP!
I am also aware that my wife will not renew her residency but instead must apply for a "Family Residence Permit" and go through the same on-line steps that I will have done FIRST?
That begs the question, will she have to wait until I am granted a "Short Term Residence Permit" before starting or can she simply start and submit after I do? HELP?
I apologise for asking for assistance, I am computer literate, I have searched until my eyesight is fading BUT I would estimate that 99% of information available deals with applications for/by those who own property! I receive all the information and updates - including the out of focus guide - sent out by the BRS, however it only serves to confuse further.
I am sure that we are not the only people who rent property here and that someone, somewhere must have already completed the first stage of this process. Can I ask that if that someone is you that you either reply to this post by PM or email @
rbqpsk@gmail.com and lend a hand if you have the time.
I am - I think - up to date on costs, apart from the Govt web site requirement to have FIVE times the minimum wage monthly or the BRS original statement of THREE times the minimum wage monthly.
Assistance would be most appreciated - thank you!

We have just done our 14th application. Did my husband's first as I think it is expected here. We own so did it on that basis. First off you create a login username and it sends you a password by SMS. You then login and have to change the password. You input your personal data according to your passport. When it asks for first name you must put your middle name too. The file number is at the top of your existing residency stamp in the format DNXXXX/XX. Just input the numbers only.
It asks what form your income takes with a drop down list, eg bank deposits, pension, etc. We just chose one option despite having a mixture. It then asks how much income you have per month. You have to upload your passport page and muhtar letter which we just photographed. Apparently it must be in jpeg format.
Once you have finished and submitted the form the system allocates an appointment at the police station and it confirms what documentation you are required to take. All the usual suspects including marriage certificate plus 1 passport size photo.
I then did my application as a family member using my husband's data as my sponsor. Therefore I didn't need to input financial information. My file number is the same as his with -01 at the end so I'm assuming that denotes you being a couple with the same file. My police appointment came through for 10 minutes after his. Our appointments are 4 weeks from the application date and 5 days after our existing residency expires. You can go back and change data up to the point of submitting.
Hope this helps.

JoandJelly, Excellent information and many thanks for all of that. In particular the part about JPG format - that would have stopped me cold as all my documentation is scanned into files but none of them JPG, change required there for me!! Also good to see that the sponsor submits first then the family member after that!
Again many thanks - on wards and upwards so they say......

ETS, Well you know what thought did - the same as me, I thought it had been clarified at 3 times as well! Being a suspicious bloke myself I just thought I would search on the Govt websites - big mistake unless you enjoy going in circles - only to find this direct quote:
10. Short Term Residence Permit Based on Income.
What is the criterion to be considered when issuing an Income Short Term Residence Permit?
Foreigners who will be granted short-term residence permits are required to have a monthly income of at least five minimum wages, or to keep an annual income in this amount in their bank account.
In fact there is nowhere I have found on the official web sites which leads me to three minimum wages??? So what do I do? I suppose I will find out in the end but luckily I am not worried either way, others may not be so fortunate.
Stay safe out there.

So where did BRS get 3 times from?
Is there a member that can check?
I'd hate to have to move some money from my Cayman Islands account for nothing!

Sorry for the delay, I spent most of this morning searching and searching for information so I have been on most if not all Gov web sites in that time. If you search any web sites you will know how easy it is to get lost and then remember where you found just one bit of information. However, I have found - yet again - the bit of information that got me worried here:
http://icisleri.gov.ct.tr/Bakanl%C4%B1k ... -%C4%B0zni
I was there because I was looking for all, or any of the information, regarding which permit I would need if I rented not owned property here. It falls under para 10. of the Short Term Residence Permit on the page, then go to the bottom of the page and the "Five times" bit is there.
It has quite probably - hopefully possibly - been superseded by now but the web page still sends shivers down my wallet!!!
