Brend you can make a 'smıley' with a colon : and a 'close brackets' ) without leaving a space between them. :)

A 'frowny' is a colon : followed by an 'open brackets' ( . :(

A 'winky' is a semi-colon ; and a 'close brackets' ) . ;)

If you click on the 'quote' icon on this message, you will see the 'raw text' that I used to create these emoticons!

There are no ferries but there is .... http://www.grimaldi-freightercruises.co ... hedule.pdf

You would have to pick up in Izmir, but it goes to Ashdod. Have a look at the schedule. Probably expensive and the only alternative is a Cruise from Limassol to Haifa, if Cruises are a available at present.

Sail out of Lemos at night arrive in Haifa in the morning
Then Haifa to Egypt the following night

I was enquiring for a friend that doesn't fly. They would drive from UK and stay at mine and then would like to go to Haifa. I have been on the 3 day cruise many years ago.
Thanks for replies. This forum is amazingly helpful.
:) :( not quite got this Keith

Sorry, old enough to know better, senior moment Brian Ferry. Very good. I spoke to my neghbour who is a policeman. I asked him about the 30 refugees and 2 escaped and police shot them. He said police shot in air first before shooting at legs.

5 years? That's nothing! I've been waiting 15 years for the then government proposal of a Famagusta to Beirut (Lebanon) Ferry crossing!!

At the moment we cant cross to the south side anyway. After Dec 31 who knows what ROC will do what ever it is they will make travel difficult for us wicked" illegals" in the north.
