knighthoods for Hammond and Clarke, two traitors who with absolute contempt for democracy done their best to stop brexit. The honours system stinks and needs urgent reform .

Those that told lies about Brexit should be sent to the Tower to await execution, first in line should be buffoon Boris!

Regardless of how people stood on the Brexit debate the democratic decision by the people was to leave, that decision was done by a referendum and general election and it is disgrace that politicians and civil servants have done their very best to reverse and frustrate that decision. To reward these traitortors in the so called honours list is shameful!

Should I count Waz in? 5...4....3...
As for the knighthoods, I can’t get too enraged as it is a standard for anyone who has held a cabinet role or senior job in the civil service.
What was nice was to see Captain Tom get his this week and it was telling that the Queen made the effort to give it to him in person.

On the subject of knighthoods, Sky News reported Ian Botham got one for supporting Brexit. Funny that, must be a different Botham from the greatest all round cricketer then.

Without Russian interference the Brexit referendum would have gone the other way. That will become clear in the following days.

Obviously has inside information which makes this likely 'James Bond' spy material. Remoaners never die they just go on, and on, and on !! The EU reallly doing great this week aren't they ... Herr Merkel and lapdog Macron trying to impose their will, as usual, on the rest of Europe. (8)) (8))

I agree eastendjoker and it is my impression that if you held that referendum today there would many more 'leavers' !!! The way the leaders of the EU have behaved over the last 4 years is shameful !! (Oo)

The creation of the EU has enabled Germany and its cronies to do what they couldn't do after two world wars. Just my opinion.

British Expatriates with the UK vote living predominantly in Spain, France and other minor populous countries within the EU did indeed vote for Brexit however, many regret doing so not realising the lose of the EHIC health card and pension increments would hurt them financially.
Goes to show how inherently the lose of the British Empire is still ingrained into the ignorant with no comprehension of a compassionate world.
The T-Shirt ad Tattoo nouveaux-riches brigade should relocate back to the UK to their 'book-less' council houses and happily gain any further brainwashing knowledge by reading the Daily Star and Sun!

I couldn't care less either way to be honest, apart from the inconvenience it will cause for us living here and in other European countries. During the run-up to the referendum my sympathies were with the leave side, but since then I've wavered slightly back the other way, but for purely selfish reasons, as I've stated.

I thought I might stir a few passions with my comment. The govt is due to release a report soon on Russian interference in UK affairs, that's what I was referring to.

Frontman, with the greatest respect about your comement regarding russian interference you are talking absolute nonsense!

long, long before the brexit debate it was clear to me that this Eu vision was nonsense. It just seems that those passionate about the Eu will never accept reality, what angers me is why those people will not accept the decision made by the people and continue to call foul play

How well informed are some as HMG have just admitted that there was Russian interference in the referendum, a report they had been 'sitting-on' for a very long time not wishing to hoodwink the already gullible, ignorant great British public!!!

Knighthoods - basically meaningless these days! The same for the majority of honours and awards, it used to be a good system but has degraded into crowd funding and purchase. Not to say that many are not deserving, but sadly many are just gifts for favours. How many times have you heard of or watched Sir this or that and wondered to yourself, who was that? Never heard of them before, what did they do to become Sir?
