The roadworks are coming along at a pace, but I have witnessed the workers believe that they can cross from one side to the other with impunity just by putting up their hand and jumping in front of the traffic.
This morning I witnessed this, as said the worker put up his hand and jumped into the road without waiting for the traffic to stop.
The first car stamped on the brakes and stopped successfully ,so did the second ,the third car needed some help and stopped with the aid of the second car's bumper. Luckily I was number four and a safe braking distance behind number three.

It’s 30 kph there I believe. This morning I was driving behind a very slow police car “doing nearly 40”
The car in front of him threw out his empty carton of drink. No interest from the police car.
