With Vodafone no longer accepting Turkey and North Cyprus in the Europe zone is possible to assign my Vodafone number to skype to receive the calls I normally would? I realise that I would have to sign up to receive skype calls from landlines which isn't a problem but the account allocates a generated phone number. Does anyone know if I subscribe will I then be able to change it?

I have had a Skype number in the past.
When I subscribed, app 15 years ago,
I was able to choose an area code & number supplied by Skype, London, Glasgow, Manchester etc.
It was a good service at the time, I now mainly use WhatsApp & Messenger.

Thanks Navek. Yes I know I can choose an area etc. and then a phone number is generated but I would like to be able to keep my same number that is registered to Vodafone if at all possible.
I too mainly use WhatsApp & messenger and until last Sunday I was able to receive calls on my Vodafone for free. Banks and other organisations have that number but it mostly used by my parents to call me and they don't have tge means or knowhow of how to use WhatsApp or messenger.
