OK, So we know about using a VPN for accessing UK websites but what about the other way around ?
I'm now back in the UK and trying to access the residency website to no avail
Have tried using Turkey as the "Target" country without luck.

Same here, hope someone can help us

As Paul 90 pointed out on the Residency thread, it would be no good registering from the UK as you would have difficulty presenting yourself at the Police station when called forward.

As my IP shows me as being in the country of Cyprus, have you tried Cyprus as your VPN location?

A friend of mine is in the same position as you. I am acting for him in his absence. Maybe you can give your details to a friend who is still here with a laptop.

Well, my VPN provider doesn't have Cyprus listed as an option. It does have Turkey but I've tried that to no avail.
If I can't find a VPN for Cyprus a good friend of mine has already kindly offered to do it from Cyprus

Assuming your VPN has a few IP options for Turkey have you tried more than 1?
I know with the BBC iPlayer they don’t like you using a VPN so have a blocking frenzy but the VPN provider just brings out new IP addresses so try a few
