Golden Passports

Aljazeera have acquired leaked documents with lists of 'dubious' purchasers of 'Golden Passports'. It seems that for an investment of 2.5 M euro you can get a full citizenship in the South which allows access to all the benefits of the EU. Aljazeera are releasing the names of these clients on a daily basis .. somewhat of an embarrassment perhaps ????

2.5 M Tl not too bad! Malta have been doing it for years.

As have the U.K. I believe!
Edit: just checked and it’s not a passport but you can buy a residence visa for up to 5yrs 4mnths for a cool £2M!
You can “apply to settle” (whatever that means?) after 2 years for £10M, 3 years for £5M or 5 years for the £2M
