Contact and self isolation

I have read again Health Minister Dr Ali Pilli has stated more cases were the contacts of the positive case detected previously and they were in quarantine and under observation. It would be interesting to know if they had just travelled together or are actual friends ie close contact has taken place. To date i know of nobody who has tested positive here or the uk

Good news but some may slip through the net, i hope an example is shown to prevent others from doing it as above shows it is still very contagious.

ten people, who should have been self-isolating at home, had been in contact with others. Those people would be prosecuted he said, noting that their contacts were being traced.

From the 5 cases since they opened flights into TRNC, I heard that cases have now risen to over 100. I have just checked gov website and downloaded the stats. 102 receiving treatment. Not good. (:())

... Particularly when people are flouting isolation.

Please, if you are aware of anyone breaking isolation rules, report them to the Police - otherwise you are aiding and abetting.

Continue to wear masks, wash hands, keep your distance - no hugging and kissing!

As I've asked previously on another thread...… will the police actually do anything?. As the BRS now has hundreds on their Facebook page, I think its time to remind all "returners" to stay at home. There are a lot of Brits coming back within the next two weeks and I have bad vibes as to how many will obey the rules, once they are back in the sun and haven't made arrangements as to who does their shopping and fancy a meal down by the sea. I can envisage an awful lot of flouting the rules, until and unless the police make an example of someone. To the best of my knowledge it they haven't yet.

Have just read an article where 10 people have found not to be at home and have had contact with other people, and action is being taken.

I do hope that they are hammered for it, and it is publicised as a warning to others.

Sophıe, the OP did state in msg 1 that ten people were being prosecuted.

Please everyone, don't let the excuse of 'we don't know whether action will be taken' stop you from doing your duty, and reporting these people!

Why then don't they publish it on English speaking forums and paper? There is absolutely no point in being all hush, hush about it, unless of course we're back to this ridiculous nonsense of not being able criticise anything, anywhere or anybody. I'm afraid the upcoming rush of incomers (late swallows) is going to be dreadful . I do hope I'm totally wrong but suspect not.

Sophie, I don't think that publishing information in Turkish in a Turkish speaking Country is being 'Hush Hush' exactly... ;)

Perhaps you could ask the OP where she read it...

Sophie, take a look at LGC NEWS - it's on there, in English, especially for you! :)

I tend to forget about LGC news and should read it more often.
