We thought we were doing pretty well paying for himself’s MOT online yesterday so off he went to Erdener Garage this morning only to discover that the Govt had been early & told them they are not to do any emission tests the reason was not clear.
No doubt by the time it gets sorted our 265 tl payment will be out of date!

Can you not have emissions test done anywhere? I did mine in Magusa last week.

Surely you can go to any Government registered testing garage. Perhaps the following has happened (a) Erdener have lost their registration (b) the Government are about to tighten up the testing procedure.

When we imported the car way back when 10years ago
We went to the test station in Lefkosa to pay import tax and register/weight the car we had the emissions tested opposite the customs place Kombos I think Merceces /Jeep garage I think

Tijen garage almost next to Dagli insurance Karaoğlanoğlu

There are MOT registered Garages all over the place. How many within Girne proper I wouldn't know.

Erdeners were back up & running today doing emissions so no need to travel further afield, thanks for all the suggestions though.

I am posting on behalf of Erdener Garage.....I Aytekin Kemal Erdener am the director of Erdener Otomotiv.. i have seen a post on this site which has no accuracy at all. I wanted to correct this. Our garage has been opened since 1984 and we have been doing exhaust emission since year 2000. We are authorized to do MOT and exhaust emission by goverment. We will like all our customers to not believe in nonsenses like this.. for your MOT reservation English speaker Number is 0533 857 45 49 and Turkish is 0548 867 1007.. you can follow our Facebook page to see the dates for the MOT list and get your reservations fron us.. we also have online access to the government site.. please do not believe in gossip like this.. we are a 40 years old company in Cyprus which will help you in all aspects

Thank you for posting this forestpixie. We always use Erdener Garage, and have always found them reliable. We are due MOT and service at end of the month so comforting to know they can do it for us.
