Problem Lawyer???

On Friday we had a call from a lawyer in Lefkosa, telling us that our house was wanted by the original Greek owner, and that he wants to discuss this in person. I told him that we had a proper KKJTC Kocan and he said that was useless. I asked him where he got our tel.no. and he said that he could not say as he promised not to disclose this. I asked him for his name and he said it was Öncel Polili.
I told him that I was not prepared to talk to him like this and that I wanted to discuss this with my husband and we needed to have his office details.
He sent me his business card via Whatsapp, I wrote down his name, number and business address
I was so angry and after talking it over, we phoned a lawyer and asked her if she had heard of this man and I sent her all the detail in a message. This was Friday late afternoon, so we have of course not heard anything yet.
Since then I found that a lot of people here in Dipkarpaz have been targeted by people telling them if they do not have a Kocan, they will loose their homes, somehow it seems to bit of a money making scam for somebody(the lawyers?). I don't think we will be affected, as we do have a proper legit Kocan but a lot of people do not and are so worried. One of our Muhtar's seems to have done illegal thing, helping Greeks somehow to get money but not going the proper legal way. This is really nasty, I don't entirely understand it all.
Unfortunately I panicked a bit then and blocked him from my phone and therefore do not have the picture of the business card anymore. I reinstated him on my phone but now he seems to have blocked me!! I am truly confused but if anybody has any knowledge of some scams like that I would like to hear more, so it seems the Karpaz is targeted especially

If only these scammers targeted me, they'd be on the sinking banana boat to oblivion!

Dalartokat, I also did look him up everywhere, but could not see anything bad.
I will keep checking and would be grateful if anybody hears anything connected to this. You can pm or email me.

We were told by the police years ago, that if we were contacted by ANYONE supposedly representing ANYONE from down South, knocking on our door to discuss or asking to come into the garden that we were to politely show them off the premises and contact the police. If we could read a CY number plate then so much the better. Other than that to say nothing at all to them. We sometimes see CY cars driving up and down our road, particularly on a Sunday.

Öncel Polili specialises in Human Rights so I guess that's his angle. Some Human Rights lawyers do fantastic and valuable work but Human Rights does seem to be the newest thing for ambulance chasers too.

One to be avoided at all costs I suspect. Its my human rights not to be deprived of water, but sometimes we are!
