Yes they are. I heard it announced on BRT radio news this morning. You need a Covid-19 test before you cross of course. The Hotel Proprietors Union and other organisations here are saying that their pressure made it happen. I suspect the EU might have laid it on the South that keeping the borders closed to EU nationals may affect the way the North is viewed. Anastasiades is now also calling for a resumption of talks so something has happened behind the scenes.

Is this for people who live in the North or South?
A few customers think / hope they can flight into the south and come over for their 2 week break but i assume the same rulles apply as if they entered Ercan 7 days isolation in a hotel

Don’t know about you guys but I don’t think it is worth the money to go South for two McDonalds breakfasts yet. 400TL for PCR tests, plus 25€ for car insurance and 8€ for food comes out to around £70! Off to Memets for an Adana wrap each again @ a total cost of 50TL - lol.

True Waddo, but I've only 2.5 months left on my passport and want to go back anyway for various reasons, plus Wizzair owe me £120 which will pay for one way, I assume. So it's good news for me.

Let's hope whoever is the first to drive over at Metehan collect his road tax paper and return posts on here.

Best of luck Frontalman, hope you make it, it will be a nice change to see a win! Guess our local taxi drivers will know if it is true or not as well!

Also Erduran Laboratory near Bellapais Traffic lights, I do not know the price, but they have put a huge sign on the front of their building.

200TL, I was told yesterday by a dual TRNC/UK citizen who is travelling back to the UK today. I would rather go there than anywhere else, with BRS membership discount it might be even cheaper. I always ask for discount, mostly they say yes.

Yes they always give a BRS discount it looks like you go to a window round the side for the test you don’t even have to go in the building

I am arranging a whip round for someone to be the guinea pig. Looks like you're 6-4 favourite, Tony. I'd go myself but (can't think of a good reason) you look far more respectable than I, so you'll absolutely smash it. I can tell by your interest that you are chomping at the bit
