Hotel Quarantine

A few of us have been put in a very poor hotel in central Lefkosia.
No balconies very small windows no where to exercise or get fresh air.
You get no choice. Phoning Health ministry in morning
Our residency counts for nothing

Oh dear! I arrive early Sunday morning, not looking forward to it. Do you know what happens at the end of quarantine, assuming you test negative, do you then have to arrange your own transport to your accommodation?

It was only just over a week ago where all flights were stopped because there were insufficient rooms to house everyone in quarantine. Whilst I can empathise with you for having poor accommodation maybe that is better than what it was and now Ex Pats can get back here again.
There is obviously still a shortage of decent accommodation as many places are still closed due to lack of staff and no tourists. Some times I think the Government here can't do right for doing wrong.

I do not know the payment system but pay only 50% of what they may ask on leaving with a covering letter of complaints.

d1cxx, you might find yourself in The Dome in Girne or maybe The Colony. From The Dome you would probably have better views cos the Colony has some rooms that face directly on to the side of the Casino. Spoke to a friend this morning who had received a plea from someone in The Dome needing Ciggies!!! He bought them, took them into Reception and they were taken up to the room. What happen if its a non smoking room, heaven only knows.

If you look at the OP they don't have a balcony.
