Hammock
Does anyone know where I can buy a similar hammock (not frame) to the one in the photo. I bought my last one from a shop in Çatalköy. I think it was called something like “The Little Furniture Shop”.
When I last drove that way, I could not find it. Maybe they have moved/closed. A very pleasant British lady ran it.

Re: Hammock
Butterflyaway, I think The Little Furniture Shop closed down two or more years' ago. The lady who ran it - Layla - may have sounded British but she is a Turkish Cypriot and grew up in England, hence the perfect English.
Layla is now working at the Babiş furniture shop which is further to the east in Çatalköy, on the right-hand side shortly before the turn off to the Esentepe road.
Babiş also make furniture in the workshop underneath their showroom and may be able to make an identical hammock for you at a surprisingly reasonable price. Last November they made 2 dining chairs for me to my specification and I picked them up 24 hours after ordering! They actually started making them before I left the shop. I was so pleased with them that I later order 4 more chairs.

Butterflyaway. Sorry, re-reading your posting, I see that you are not looking for a new frame. However, it still may be useful to go to Babiş as they may be able to get the hammock part or point you to a supplier. If Layla is working the day you go, you will find her extremely helpful. It's also amazing to see some of the beautiful furniture they manufacture there.

Hi Numpty
There is a camping shop almost opposite the Ship Inn. I think it’s next door to Heybe Chorba!
The hammock is about 3m x 2m and the expected price is about €40 Euros.
They have loads of smaller ones in stock, but without the spreader bars.
Arrival in about two weeks.
Don’t overbid for my reserved one.
